Hartford HealthCare is committed to advancing health equity in every community we serve. The Medical Mission provides us the opportunity to bring our services to the community ‚Äï meeting our neighbors where they are! ü´∂ For some, this may be the only opportunity to receive much-needed health and wellness care. Others may need guidance on how to navigate the system so they can connect with medical homes. The Medical Mission embodies all of our values and encourages HHC colleagues to make a difference in addressing the challenges our communities face.
“Medical Mission” is when healthcare providers travel to remote or underserved countries to provide lifesaving medical treatment not otherwise available. The “Medical Mission at Home” originated at St. Vincent’s Medical Center (SVMC) in Bridgeport, recognizing that many members of our local communities are also in desperate need of healthcare services. This year, free Medical Missions will be offered at seven locations in every Hartford HealthCare region on Saturday, November 2nd. See you there! ❤️
