Dr. Salvatore Iacobello is an inhouse physician for the Mansfield Inpatient Unit and PHP programs who is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He also has a private practice in Vernon that specializes in the combined treatment of medications and psychotherapy as well as in the use of alternative and complementary treatments. Before coming to Natchaug Hospital, Dr. Iacobello was a staff psychiatrist at Cumberland River Comprehensive Care in Corbin, Kentucky. He also worked as a staff physician at various hospitals in Italy. Dr. Iacobello completed his medical training at the University of Catania in Catania, Italy. He did his general psychiatry residency at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center.
